Zeesha is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Capella University, interning under the supervision of Gwendolyn Mitchell, LMFT-S, and her university's faculty advisors. She is passionate about supporting diverse populations, particularly people of color since representation is important, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for clients to heal and grow. Zeesha primarily uses a Collaborative Family Systems approach while also exploring Internal Family Systems and Somatic therapy.
Her work focuses on helping families build harmony, guiding couples to reconnect or separate healthily, and supporting individuals in navigating personal growth and relationship exploration. She emphasizes processing trauma and addressing sexual identity. Zeesha also has experience working with crisis populations, including individuals facing suicidality, domestic abuse, and sexual abuse.
In her free time, Zeesha enjoys practicing yoga, traveling to visit family and friends, hiking with her English bulldog, Kobi, cooking, and exploring different cultures through food and music, and traveling with her fiancé!
